About the Artist
Throughout my photographic practise I am concerned with emotional states of being and the way in which personal narrative can be formed through images taken by instinct. This indirect visceral imagery builds a surreal yet sophisticated self-portrait, reflective of disparate thought and a relentless obsession with one’s individual crisis. I execute my work through a controlled catharsis, observing and exploring seemingly simple images that hint at a grander gesture.
I live in an attic in Newport, South Wales and when I stand on the furniture I can see the Severn Bridge out of the window. I like small apples, small tangerines and small gestures. I dislike mutant spiders and washing the dishes.
