About the Artist
Rick Caruso’s work is rooted in the aesthetics of regional ornamentation. He’s interested in a reproduction and refashioning of the visual personality of the local. Using simple methods of reconstruction, he creates new patterns from old forms, and interchanges them at various scales to capture the lure of the decorative.
Having recently moved from Brooklyn to Providence, he’s now fully submerged in quaint.
