Derek Fagerstrom and Lauren Smith are the owners of the Curiosity Shoppe and gallery in San Francisco where they offer crafts, kits and curios for the creatively inclined. They are the authors of Show Me How and Wallpaper Projects, and are frequent contributors to a number of design blogs and publications.
The Line-Up
After looking through all the amazing work here, we were very surprised at what we ended up choosing. These pieces are so beautiful and bold and curiously abstract, which is something we don't normally gravitate towards. We especially love how well all the works look together with their sharp lines and muted tones. It was difficult to limit ourselves to 10, but these pieces in particular have a wonderful emotional quality to them—evoking a particular temperature or quiet or time of day.
